A man was taken to hospital with life-threatening injuries after a head-on crash involving two vehicles and an OC Transpo bus on Friday.
First responders were on the scene of the collision at Woodroffe Avenue and Knoxdale Road shortly before noon on Jan. 24.
The Ottawa Police Service said a man in his 20s had life-threatening injuries, while a woman in her 70s was also seriously injured.
Following the collision, the southbound lanes of Woodroffe were closed between Meadowlands and Knoxdale, and the northbound lanes were closed at Hunt Club. Knoxdale was closed between Craig Henry and Woodroffe.
Police reopened the roads to traffic just before 10 p.m. on Friday.

The man was driving and was the only person in his car, paramedics said.
The woman in her 70s was a passenger of the bus. She was hospitalized in serious, but stable condition.

The bus operator was also assessed at the scene by paramedics, but was not transported to hospital.
In a memo to Ottawa city council, transit general manager Renée Amilcar said buses were being detoured around the intersection.
“Our thoughts are with those affected by this collision. We thank our emergency services partners for their response to this incident, and we will continue to cooperate with Ottawa police in their investigation,” Amilcar wrote.

The Ottawa Police Service fatal collision investigations unit was investigating the crash “as there are life-threatening injuries involved,” a police spokesperson said.
