The Fourth of July celebration hosted by United States Ambassador to Canada David Cohen at Lornado, the official residence of the U.S. ambassador, was a festive affair despite steamy hot weather and a few passing rain showers.
Undeterred by the weather, attendees enjoyed a lively atmosphere filled with music, food and camaraderie. The highlight of the evening was a live performance by the Gin Blossoms, whose energetic set had guests dancing and singing along. A mix of tasty offerings from local Ottawa restaurants and special treats from Philadelphia, Cohen’s hometown, were on the menu.
As the night progressed, the atmosphere remained vibrant, underscoring the enduring connection between the two nations and the shared joy of celebrating America’s Independence Day.
If you know of someone doing something exceptional to help, we would love to share their story. Please send details to socialscene@postmedia.com and we will be in touch.
