The Fairmont Ch?teau Laurier was transformed into a sparkling winter wonderland on Monday, Nov. 25, as the 2024 edition of Trees of Hope dazzled guests with its festive charm and philanthropic spirit. The event marked 27 years of supporting the CHEO Foundation, having raised over $1.4 million since its inception.
This year’s theme, Suite Dreams: A Nutcracker Tale, set the stage for a breathtaking display of beautifully decorated trees, each reflecting the enchanting colour palette of soft blues, light pinks, delicate greens, warm browns and glimmering gold and silver accents.

Dancers from Les Petits Ballets brought the magic to life, performing to the delight of attendees in a celebration of movement and beauty. Meanwhile, the dedicated team at the Fairmont, with support from generous sponsors, worked tirelessly to ensure the night was nothing short of magical.
With its silent auction, tree competition and community involvement, Trees of Hope is a shining example of how holiday cheer can create lasting impact, funding vital programs and research for CHEO. The trees are on display throughout the lobby and halls of Ottawa’s castle, where the public can vote for their favourite in the People’s Choice Award until Jan. 6.
